Recent news shows that my work earlier in the year for Association Babelle has paid dividends – and the team there are now gearing up to realise their dream of opening a Hammam (Spa) in central Strasbourg.

The location of the Spa is to be the Palais des Fêtes – an old brasserie and architectural wonder near the City’s law courts – which will be refurbished with modern accessible facilities and office spaces. (The old kitchens will become a Steam room!)

It is hoped that the Hammam will open in 2012, however this will of course be subject to due process with the municipality and contracted firms.
